Injuries Reported in South County Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 805 and Beyer Boulevard
SOUTH COUNTY, TX (December 18, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, a startling DUI crash on Interstate 805 and Beyer Boulevard injured 6 people.
The incident happened at about 5:45 a.m. on north Interstate 805, north of Beyer Boulevard.
Officers revealed that the crash involved three vehicles, including one driven by a suspected intoxicated driver, California Highway Patrol Officer Mark Latulippe said.
After the crash, ambulances took six people to the hospital, two of them were ejected from vehicles, a San Diego Fire-Rescue official said.
Furthermore, the freeway was unavailable for nearly three hours during the investigation. Then, lanes were reopened shortly before 9 a.m.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
