2 People Hurt in Lakewood Auto Accident on Interstate 5 and Thorne Lane
LAKEWOOD, WA (July 22, 2024) – Saturday night, a startling DUI crash on Interstate 5 and Thorne Lane injured two people.
The incident happened at around 8:45 p.m. on Interstate 5 and Thorne Lane.
According to the Washington State Patrol, a southbound vehicle failed to negotiate a left turn and crashed into a barrier.
Moreover, responders transported a 38-year-old female passenger to Madigan Army Medical Center at Joint Base Lewis-McChord with unknown injuries and a 51-year-old Lacey woman to St Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma with unknown injuries.
Furthermore, authorities suspect that the 17-year-old female driver of the vehicle was under the influence at the time of the incident.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the WSP continued to investigate the crash.
