Injuries Reported in Cajon Pass Vehicle Crash on Southbound 15 Freeway

CAJON PASS, CA (December 5, 2023) – Sunday afternoon, a startling auto accident on Southbound 15 Freeway injured several people.

The incident happened at around 3:44 p.m. when a silver van, towing a trailer, crashed with a pole at the Cajon scales. Then, the crash caused significant damage to the van, leaving it in a mangled state.

Firefighters and the California Highway Patrol swiftly came to the scene.

After the crash, a female occupant was trapped inside the wreckage, requiring extensive extrication. Firefighters freed her and they also asked for additional equipment to help stabilize the vehicle.

Meanwhile, a helicopter transported her to a hospital.

Also, officers confirmed that a second vehicle, a blue Prius was involved in the crash. Officers found in the center divider and its occupants sustained no injuries in the crash.
