Injuries Reported in Acton Vehicle Crash on Sierra Highway near Hacienda Road

ACTON, CA (July 6, 2023) – Tuesday night, a startling auto accident on Sierra Highway near Hacienda Road sent 2 people to hospital.

The authorities received a report of the crash at 10:01 p.m. in the 2700 block of Sierra Highway near Hacienda Road, parallel to the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway.

According to reports, a pickup crashed into a fire hydrant, sending two people to the hospital.

Meanwhile, a witness revealed that the impact ejected the people from the Chevrolet Avalanche pickup. Also, the vehicle had major damage in the crash and went about 30 feet down an embankment.

Also, the incident sheared the hydrant which flooded lanes of Sierra Highway and damaged the pavement.

Moreover, the authorities temporarily closed the highway as a Los Angeles County Fire Department helicopter landed and transported two patients to a hospital.

One of them sustained critical injuries while the other one had moderate injuries.
