Injuries Reported in Stockton Vehicle Crash on Main Street and Hinkley Avenue

STOCKTON, CA (January 8, 2024) – Late Saturday, 2 San Joaquin County deputies were involved in a startling auto accident on Main Street and Hinkley Avenue.

The incident happened at about midnight when San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office (SJCSO) deputies confirmed a Porsche SUV crashed into one of their patrol vehicles at the intersection of Main Street and Hinkley Avenue.

According to reports, the Porsche SUV was heading south on Hinkley Ave when the driver failed to yield at a stop sign and collided with the deputies. Then, one deputy suffered a broken collar bone but has since been released from the hospital.

Meanwhile, the other deputy is doing “well.”

Furthermore, responders transported the occupants of the Porsche to the hospital, and were in an unknown condition.

California Highway Patrol officers added that the driver of the Porsche was possibly drunk.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
