FRESNO, CA (July 20, 2023) – Wednesday night, a startling auto accident on Belmont Avenue and Blackstone Avenue injured 1 person.

Initially, the police responded to a call of an overdose on Fulton Street and Belmont Avenue at about 9:00 a.m.

As the officers traveled west on Belmont Avenue through Blackstone Avenue, they crashed into a citizen vehicle.

Officers confirmed that a father and son occupied the vehicle.

Responders took the 16-year-old son to a local hospital for complaints of pain, which officers say are non-life-threatening.
