PHOENIX, AZ (June 12, 2023) – Sunday morning, a startling auto accident near 23rd Avenue and Northern Avenue injured two people.

The incident happened at around 12:30 a.m. near 23rd Avenue and Northern Avenue.

According to reports, authorities spotted a stolen vehicle pulling over an apartment complex and conducted a traffic stop. Then, the suspect vehicle fled the scene at a high rate of speed and ran a red light at 19th Avenue. Moments later, the vehicle lost control and crashed into a wall, a metal fencing and a fire hydrant.

Moreover, responders transported two female occupants of the vehicle, both teens, to a hospital with serious injuries. Also, officers confirmed that a person fled the scene on foot after the crash.
