Injuries Reported in Fresno Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 99 near Chestnut Avenue
FRESNO, CA (February 13, 2024) – Monday morning, a startling 3-vehicle crash on Highway 99 near Chestnut Avenue injured 1 person.
The incident occurred at about 11:00 a.m. on Highway 99 southbound near Chestnut Avenue.
According to reports, as an SUV approached the back of a big rig, it attempted to change lanes into the middle lane. Then, the SUV went too fast and clipped the big rig’s back. As a result, the vehicle spun out of control and rolled over.
As it overturned, the SUV went into the other two lanes, hitting two more vehicles.
Officers confirmed that the crash involved six people. Then, one person was taken to a local hospital.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
