Injuries Reported in Eastland County Multi-Vehicle Accident on FM 2461 and County Road 542

EASTLAND COUNTY, TX (July 8, 2023) – Tuesday, a startling 3-vehicle crash on FM 2461 and County Road 542 led to injuries.

The incident happened on July 4th, thee vehicles collided at the intersection of FM 2461 and County Road 542 near Lake Leon.

According to reports, a golf cart with three 18-year-olds from Plainview, Texas, turned onto FM 2461. Then, a 24-year-old driving a Ford Fiesta at an unsafe speed hit the golf cart, then another vehicle.

After the crash, responders care flighted the driver and a passenger from the golf cart to a hospital in Fort Worth with serious injuries.

Meanwhile, EMS took the driver of the third vehicle to Eastland Memorial by EMS. Also, three passengers from Ford were transported to the hospital by personal conveyance.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
