AUSTIN, TX (November 21, 2024) – Early Wednesday morning, a startling two-vehicle crash on US 290 near Mopac injured one person.

Reports said that the incident happened at around 5:00 a.m. on US 290 near Mopac.

According to the Austin Police Department, two vehicles collided in the area, leaving a woman trapped inside the wreckage.

Responders extricated and transported the woman to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

The crash closed all five lanes of US 290 but has long since reopened.
