Injuries Reported in Columbia Auto Accident on Parrotts Ferry Road and Porcina Way
COLUMBIA, CA (November 17, 2024) – Last November 6th, Stacy Askren was involved in a crippling head-on crash on Parrotts Ferry Road.
The incident happened at about 4:30 p.m. on Parrotts Ferry Road, north of Porcina Way.
The California Highway Patrol reported a head-on collision on Parrotts Ferry Road involving a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 and a 2015 Subaru Crosstrex. Askren, 44, of Avery, was driving the Dodge with passengers Leslie Quashnick, 21, of Avery, and a 16-year-old from Angels Camp. Abigail Schuler, 18, of Murphy, was driving the Subaru in the opposite direction.
According to the CHP, Askren’s vehicle drifted across the double yellow lines into Schuler’s path, resulting in a head-on crash that sent both vehicles off the roadway. Askren and the 16-year-old sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene, while Schuler was taken to Adventist Health Sonora for minor injuries. Quashnick was not injured.
The CHP noted that alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash.
