Carmel Valley Road Crash Kills Stacey Paz, Injures Milton Pineda-Vaceres

 
Carmel, CA (May 16, 2021) – On Friday, Stacey Paz died and Milton Pineda-Vaceres was injured in a rear-end crash on Carmel Valley Road.
 
The accident happened at around 9:30 p.m. at the Rio Road intersection.
 
The pair, both of Northridge, stood in the roadway when an eastbound car along Carmel Valley Road rear-ended the stopped vehicle they previously exited. The vehicle was pushed forward into Paz and Pineda-Vaceres.
 
As a result, Paz was pinned under, and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
 
On the other hand, rescuers took Pineda-Vaceres to Natividad Medical Center and treated him for his injuries.
 
The officers did not arrest the driver of the eastbound car.
 
Neither drugs nor alcohol were considered as a factor in this Carmel crash. The authorities are still investigating the incident.
