While car accidents are far more common than pedestrian accidents, there is reason to be wary when traveling on foot. “Pedestrian accidents do not occur as much as motor vehicle accidents, but the pedestrian accidents tend to include more serious injuries,” says Tyler Toomey, a practicing attorney at Sweet Lawyers. “Some of the worst pedestrian incidents involve minors because they are sometimes hard to see and ride bikes, skateboards, etc. Common locations for these pedestrian incidents include shopping center entrances and street corners.”
