1 Dead in San Jose Pedestrian Accident on Highway 85 and De Anza Boulevard
SAN JOSE, CA (January 27, 2022) – Wednesday morning, a triple stabbing suspect died in a pedestrian crash on Highway 85 and De Anza Boulevard.
Initially, a triple stabbing incident happened at 2:09 a.m. at a home in the 2100 block of Tehama Avenue. Then, responders transported three adult vehicles to hospitals.
However, just before 4:45 a.m., a fatal crash happened on northbound Highway 85 just south of the De Anza Boulevard off-ramp.
The authorities confirmed that the pedestrian who died was the suspect in the stabbing. At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed the identity of the deceased.
Also, the crash led to a closure of all northbound lanes on Highway 85. Before 8:00 a.m., all lanes reopened.
The lanes reopened as of shortly before 8 a.m. after investigators cleared the scene, according to the CHP.
