Man Dies in Pedestrian-Vehicle Collision on East Berry Street

Fort Worth, TX (February 22, 2023) On Tuesday evening, a vehicle fatally struck a man in a deadly pedestrian crash on South Freeway.

Authorities say that the deadly pedestrian-vehicle collision happened at around 9:37 p.m. at the intersection with East Berry Street.

Fort Worth PD says that a northbound vehicle hit a male pedestrian walking northward on the South Freeway service road. Reports say that the driver of the vehicle attempted to dodge the pedestrian but instead crashed into another vehicle, then eventually hitting the man.

Paramedics rushed the man John Peter Smith Hospital in critical condition, however, the man succumbed to his injuries and died at the hospital.

Meanwhile, officials say that both drivers involved in the crash stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.

FWPD is investigating the fatal pedestrian crash and have not released further information at this time.
