Road Rage Leads to Fatal Collision Reported in Hollywood
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 21, 2020) – Authorities confirmed that Sophia Ardalan died in a road rage accident in the 1300 block of North Martel Avenue Tuesday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened just before midnight.
Reports from the police showed that the victim was followed by a motorcyclist to her apartment after her Mercedes-Benz allegedly bumped the rider’s bike in Sunset Boulevard. After an argument, the victim and her passenger got back into their car and began to drive away. For an unknown reason, Ardalan ejected from the car before it struck a tree.
The passenger, identified as 27-year-old Samanth Cunha, then got behind the wheel and tried to move the car. However, the car hit and crushed Ardalan.
The 26-year-old nightclub manager was declared dead at the scene. Cunha then ran from the scene. She was later arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run.
The motorcyclist remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
