1 Dead in Cabazon Car Accident
CABAZON, CA (December 21, 2018) – A woman who died in a car accident in Cabazon was finally identified as the 53-year-old Sonia Hernandez of Banning.
The incident was reported before 10:30 a.m. on December 17, on Railroad Road, 10 Freeway, near Main Street.
According to CHP officials, Hernandez was traveling east on 10 Freeway when she attempted to pass a big rig, and her vehicle clipped the front of the big rig.
As a result, Hernandez was unable to control her vehicle and fell down an embankment, overturning several times before halting on the road.
Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the big rig remained at the area and has been cooperative with the police.
The crash is still being investigated.
