Late Afternoon ATV Crash in Somis Turns Deadly
SOMIS, CA (April 28, 2019) – One person was killed following an all-terrain vehicle crash late Sunday afternoon in Somis.
The incident was reported at 4:22 p.m. in the 6700 block of Bradley Road, according to the California Highway Patrol. The site is located amid unincorporated farmland north of Somis, in an area generally North of Camarillo.
Initial reports indicated an ATV had overturned, with one person trapped underneath it. Emergency crews pulled that patient out from under the ATV and declared the victim dead a short time later.
Multiple firefighter units, a helicopter, a coroner’s official and a chaplain were called to the scene of the accident.
No identifying information is being released at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
