Pickup Fell Off Embankment in West Mountain Drive Traffic Accident
Montecito, CA (July 4, 2023) On Sunday morning, 2 people were hurt after a solo-vehicle crash on Coyote Road.
Authorities say that the traffic accident happened around 11 a.m. at the intersection of West Mountain Drive and Coyote Road.
Reports say that a pickup truck veered off the road and dropped 150 feet down an embankment and landed near a house below the road.
Officials say that the truck had 2 occupants and was rescued using a low-angle rope rescue system to reach both occupants and bring them to safety.
Authorities say that the male driver and female passenger both suffered minor injuries and were transported to a hospital by an AMR ambulance.
CHP is investigating the West Mountain Drive traffic accident.
