Horrific Solo-Vehicle Accident on G Street Led to Injuries [Merced, CA]

Merced, CA (November 03, 2023) On Sunday morning, 9 people were involved in a disastrous solo-vehicle accident on G Street.

According to the Merced Police Department, the pickup crash happened around 2:15 a.m. on the area of G Street and Mandeville Lane.

Reports say that a Toyota pickup truck overturned and rolled over several times, ejecting 4 people and pinning a woman under the truck.

Officials say that the driver of the truck made an unsafe turning maneuver on the roadway, causing the vehicle to overturn multiple times. Officials say that all 8 passengers were University of California, Merced, students.

Meanwhile, the driver was not a UC Merced student and was in town visiting at the time of the crash.

Authorities say that several occupants were transported to area hospitals for treatment of injuries. Moreover, the woman pinned beneath the truck was flown to a Modesto area trauma center with critical injuries.

Police are investigating the catastrophic truck crash and have not released further information at this time.
