Rescuers Respond to Catastrophic Vehicle Crash on I-15
Cajon Pass, CA (October 14, 2023) On Thursday morning, a solo-car crash on Interstate 15 left 2 people hurt.
According to the CHP, the vehicle crash happened around 9:12 a.m. on northbound I-15, near the Kenwood Avenue exit.
Reports say that a car fell off 100-150’ down from the freeway into a ravine. Officials say that the vehicle had 2 occupants, 1 was trapped while another was able to free themselves.
Rescue crews used the jaws of life to free the trapped individual, and used a rope system to safely bring one of the victims back to the roadway.
Authorities say that a burgundy Ford Expedition blew a tire and the driver lost control of the vehicle, the Ford then overturned and fell down an embankment.
