Police Investigate a Fatal Crash on Priest Drive and Broadway Road in Tempe

Tempe, AZ (November 17, 2021) – Wednesday night, a skateboarder died in a crash involving a motorcycle on Priest Drive and Broadway Road.

The fatal crash in Tempe happened at around 7 p.m. on November 17.

Tempe Police said the skateboarder was riding through the intersection of Priest Drive and Broadway Road when he was hit by a motorcycle rider.

The skateboarder, a male in his 20s, died on the scene. 

Investigators said impairment doesn’t appear to be a factor in the crash. It’s unclear if the motorcyclist, also a male in his 20s, sustained injuries in the crash or not.

Moreover, it’s still unclear if the skateboarder was in a crosswalk at the time or who had the right of way.

Further investigation into this fatal collision is underway.
