Sacramento, CA (November 12, 2024) – A skateboarder died in a crash on Tower Bridge Gateway involving a car. 

A car struck and killed a skateboarder Tuesday evening, according to the West Sacramento Police Department (WSPD).

At approximately 7:03 p.m., WSPD and emergency responders arrived at Tower Bridge Gateway and 5th Street after receiving reports of the collision. 

Authorities confirmed that the skateboarder died at the scene.

The driver involved stayed at the crash site and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation, WSPD reported. 

Surrounding roads are expected to remain partially closed for several hours.
