1 Hospitalized after Brentwood Car Accident on Sand Creek Road
BRENTWOOD, CA (June 13, 2019) – A 12-year-old skateboarder suffered injuries in a collision with a vehicle on June 11.
Before 8:05 p.m., the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District firefighters came to the scene. In addition, the collision happened at Sand Creek Road and Highland Way, battalion chief Craig Auzenne revealed.
Upon the firefighters and paramedics’ arrival, they located the boy on the ground. The child sustained injuries to his left side. In addition, they determined that he had been skating without a helmet.
Responders took the boy to a helispot in the 2400 block of Balfour Road. After that, a Cal-Star medical helicopter airlifted him to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland.
Unfortunately, his identity remains unknown as of Tuesday.
Brentwood police are currently investigating the crash and the cause of it.
