Big Rig Crash Narrows Eastbound Highway 118 to One Lane
Simi Valley, CA (June 5, 2020)– On Wednesday afternoon, a single-vehicle crash involving a big rig has led to road closure on Highway 118.
The incident was reported to have occurred on June 3 around 1:15 p.m. on the eastbound of Highway 118.
California Highway Patrol said that a semitrailer has swerved off the road and struck the guardrail of the highway. However, the reasons that led up to the crash are still unclear as of the moment.
As a result, the driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries, CHP said.
Furthermore, CHP ordered to close the right two lanes of the road while towing services try to pull the vehicle upright. The closure is expected to last at least until 5:30 p.m. as crews worked on preliminary duties.
