Silvia King Arrested in Scottsdale DUI Crash on Scottsdale Road

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (August 28, 2019) — 33-year-old Silvia King faces charges after a DUI collision on Scottsdale Road on Saturday, August 24.

According to the police, the crash occurred around 1:10 a.m. while two officers conducted a traffic stop on Scottsdale Road, just north of McDowell Road.

One officer stood on the sidewalk and the other was in his SUV when a northbound sedan driven by Silvia King rear-ended one of the officer’s vehicles. The impact pushed it into the other officer’s SUV. Police said that both officers had their emergency lights on.

The officer in the SUV was brought to the hospital where he received treatment and then released.

Authorities say King showed signs of alcohol impairment. They arrested her with a blood alcohol content above .170.

Officers booked her on misdemeanor charges of extreme DUI, reckless driving and endangerment.

Driving under the influence is never a safe practice. If you are thinking of operating a vehicle while impaired, contact an Uber, Lyft or a taxi driver instead to bring you home. Drinking and driving with a child is against the law and can result in dangerous situations such as major injury crashes or fatalities. It is never worth it.
