Jorge Sanchez Faces Charges in I-90 Fatal Collision
Moses Lake, WA (August 26, 2022) – On Thursday, Sierra Stoddard, a 19-year-old Cashmere woman, died in a DUI crash on Interstate 90.
It was about 9:45 p.m. when the traffic collision happened approximately 11 miles, east of Moses Lake.
According to the officers investigating this case, Stoddard was westbound in a 2020 Honda CR-V on the freeway when her SUV was struck head-on by a 2011 Dodge Ram 150 with a trailer attached that was traveling the wrong way.
Sadly, Sierra Stoddard lost her life at the scene.
The paramedics, on the other hand, airlifted the Dodge driver, 47-year-old Jorge Sanchez of Moses Lake, to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee with injuries.
Meanwhile, the authorities say drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision. They also listed wrong-way driving as the cause of the fatal collision.
Officers say Sanchez will face charges.
