Shuzhen Liu of Chino Dies in Schaefer Avenue Pedestrian Crash [Chino, CA]

Chino, CA (July 20, 2024) On Tuesday, 79-year-old Shuzhen Liu of Chino died at the hospital after the Schaefer Avenue pedestrian crash on July 10.

According to the Chino Police Department, the fatal crash happened on the 6500 block of Schaefer Avenue around 8:30 p.m.

Authorities say that 68-year-old Robert Hairston was driving a vehicle that struck Liu. Officials say that Liu sustained major injuries and was taken to a trauma center where he died after 6 days.

Officials say that Hairston stayed at the scene and cooperated with officials.

Police are investigating the fatal auto-pedestrian crash and have not released additional information at this time.
