2 Hurt in Los Angeles Shooting and Vehicle Crash on 10 Freeway near La Brea Boulevard

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 18, 2021) – Wednesday morning, two people sustained injuries in a crash on 10 Freeway near La Brea Boulevard.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the shooting incident occurred at around 4:30 a.m. It happened on the eastbound 10 Freeway near La Brea Boulevard.
 
Meanwhile, reports revealed that a dark-colored SUV was following a white Toyota Corolla with two occupants. Then, it began firing gunshots towards the other vehicle.
 
Afterward, the Toyota driver continued driving after he saw that his vehicle was struck. Five miles away, the Toyota exited at San Pedro Street and collided with a power pole at 17th Street and Griffith Avenue, CHP said.
 
Moreover, authorities said that the Toyota driver and a passenger sustained minor injuries in the crash.
 
Then, the SUV fled south on Griffith Avenue, CHP added.
 
Officers closed the eastbound freeway to give way to the investigation.
 
All lanes of the freeway were reopened at around 7:00 a.m.
