Two Women Injured in Three-Car Crash on Westbound Interstate 82 at Dallas Road Just East of Kennewick

BENTON CITY, WA (February 2, 2018) – The Washington State Patrol reported a three-car collision on Interstate 82 off-ramp at Dallas Road, just east of Kennewick, on Friday afternoon around 4:15 PM.

Aerielle Knowlden, 23, of West Richland, didn’t yield for traffic when taking the off-ramp onto Dallas Road, and hit a Ford WIndstar van with her Toyota Corolla. The van, driven by 32-year-old Kennewick resident Cesar Magana, then crashed into a two-door Ford Mustang that was in the northbound lane.

Mustang driver and passenger, Shona Cagle and Reganne Brown, both sustained injuries and were transported to the Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland. 20-year-old Cagle from Benton City was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, and was released from the hospital on Saturday. Brown, 20, of Freeland wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, and was treated and released from the hospital on Friday. No other injuries were reported.

When entering or exiting the freeway, it is important to follow the rules of the road and yield to traffic accordingly. By doing so, both you and other drivers on the highway can remain safer and avoid dangerous accidents at high speeds.
