1 Person in Custody after Visalia Auto Accident on Highway 198 near Ben Maddox Way

VISALIA, CA (April 9, 2023) – Saturday morning, authorities arrested a negligent driver after a shocking two-vehicle crash on Highway 198 near Ben Maddox Way.

The incident happened at around 2:00 a.m. on eastbound Highway 198 near Ben Maddox Way.

According to the Visalia Police Department, a Hyundai Elantra and a Dodge Charger collided in the area for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, firefighters rushed to the scene and extricated occupants of the Elantra who were trapped inside the burning wreckage. Then, paramedics transported the patients to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Furthermore, officers arrested a driver on suspicion of DUI.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
