Shivam Patel Arrested after Horrific DUI Crash on Santa Ana Canyon Road [Anaheim, CA]

1 Dead in Anaheim Auto Accident on Santa Ana Canyon Road and Lakeview Avenue

ANAHEIM, CA (October 25, 2023) – Friday night, authorities arrested Shivam Patel after a horrific DUI crash on Santa Ana Canyon Road.

The incident happened at about 6:30 p.m. along Santa Ana Canyon Road, east of Lakeview Avenue. According to reports, 25-year-old Patel drove a Lamborghini under the influence along Santa Ana Canyon Road when he lost control.

Then, Anaheim Sgt. Jon McClintock revealed that the male passenger in his forties was ejected from the wreck. Officers declared him dead at the scene. However, his identity remained undisclosed due to pending family notification.

Meanwhile, responders took the driver to a hospital for minor injuries, and was later arrested on suspicion of felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter, McClintock added.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
