Shirley Nelson Dies in Road 88 Two-Vehicle Crash [Pasco, WA]

Pasco, WA (September 08, 2021) – On Saturday, 63-year-old Shirley Nelson died in a two-vehicle crash on Road 88.

The authorities responded to the fatal crash at about  7:13 p.m. at the intersection with West Court Street.

Investigating officers said that Nelson was westbound on West Court Street in a classic car from the 1930s.

At the same time, a Kennewick woman in her 20’s was southbound on Road 88 in a Toyota sedan and crashed with Nelson’s classic car.

The classic car flipped. Both Nelson and her passenger were thrown from the vehicle.

Unfortunately, Nelson died at the scene.

Meanwhile, rescuers rushed Nelson’s passenger, a man in his 60’s, to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious injuries.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.

Moreover, paramedics rushed two people in their 20’s, including the sedan’s female driver to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The authorities have not yet determined if there will be charges.
