Shirley Ashbaugh Dead in Colville Car Accident
COLVILLE, WA (July 10, 2019) – 81-year-old Shirley J. Ashbaugh died in a car collision involving two vehicles on the 395 Freeway Wednesday afternoon.
Troopers stated that the incident occurred around 2:37 PM on the 395 Freeway near milepost 223.
Authorities stated that a car driving northbound crossed over the center line before hitting Ashbaugh. First responders arrived shortly after. However, the victim succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene.
Per reports, there were three other people in the other vehicle involved. Troopers identified them as 24-year-old Cameron Luoma, a 2 year old, and 21-year-old Rebecca Garwood. Garwood was airlifted to Sacred Heart Medical Center as a result of the collision.
Drugs and alcohol were not considered factors in the crash following preliminary investigation.
