Rollover Crash on 57 Freeway in Fullerton Kills Shirley Albavera and Saul Bahena Jr., Injures 1
Fullerton, CA (August 7, 2020) – On Thursday, two people died identified as Shirley Albavera and Saul Bahena Jr. died in a rollover crash on the 57 Freeway.
The fatal rollover crash happened at around 11:20 p.m. in Fullerton.
California Highway Patrol said a 28-year-old woman, Ms. Albavera, drove a Honda Accord traveling southbound, which drifted to the right and crossed all lanes.
It struck a concrete wall on the right shoulder of the south of Chapman Avenue, then flipped over before it finally stopped.
Authorities pronounced the driver and a 30-year-old passenger, Mr. Saul Bahena Jr., dead at the scene. Meanwhile, another 30-year-old male passenger sustained major injuries and was taken to UCI Medical Center.
All three occupants of the vehicle were Anaheim residents.
