James Evans Involved in Fatal Traffic Crash on Highway 20
Ward County, TX (January 30, 2024) On Saturday morning, 51-year-old Sherman Stewart died after a pedestrian crash on IH-20.
According to the Texas DPS, the fatal traffic crash happened on westbound Highway 20 early Saturday morning.
Reports say that Stewart was walking westbound on IH-20 near the edge of the roadway, when a westbound Freightliner, driven by 58-year-old James Evans, fatally struck the pedestrian.
Authorities pronounced Stewart dead at the scene.
Officials are investigating the fatal traffic crash and have not released further information at this time.
