SAN BERNARDINO, CA (April 13, 2021) – Sunday, a sheriff’s deputy and Jeep driver were hospitalized after a pursuit crash on Victoria Avenue and 5th Street.
 
The police chase crash began at about 6:03 p.m. when the deputy attempted to stop a Nissan 350Z for traffic violations. However, the driver didn’t yield and a chase began.
 
The Nissan drove past a red light on Victoria Avenue and 5th Street as the deputy followed with activated emergency lights and sirens.
 
Afterward, the deputy crashed with a Jeep Cherokee at the intersection. As a result, responders took the deputy and the Jeep driver to a local hospital with injuries. Meanwhile, the deputy was later released after being treated.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed any information about the status of the Jeep driver.
 
Meanwhile, the authorities found the Nissan driver and arrested him on suspicion of evading. The authorities haven’t disclosed any details on the Nissan driver.
