Woman Fatally Struck by Vehicle on 280 Freeway near Cesar Chavez Boulevard
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (January 18, 2020) – Shelly Murphy, 36, died in a pedestrian crash Saturday evening in San Francisco.
The crash happened around 8:00 p.m. on southbound 280 Freeway near the Cesar Chavez Boulevard on-ramp.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Murphy was in the far left southbound lane when a white Toyota Highlander struck her. She suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
The medical examiner’s office could not confirm a city of residence for Murphy.
Information about the motorist was not immediately available. Further investigation is underway.
