SANTA BARBARA, CA (December 10, 2019) – Police arrested Shawn Orr after a police chase incident led to a crash on Lakeshore Drive on Tuesday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 7:45 PM near Calle Palo Colorado.
 
Reports from the Santa Barbara Police Department and Santa Barbara City Fire Department said that a vehicle traveling northbound hit the boy. It is not clear if the victim was at a marked crosswalk at that time.
 
The paramedics confirmed that the victim sustained minor injuries but alert and moving. As a result, officials transported the victim to the nearest hospital for treatment.
 
Santa Barbara police are investigating the incident.
