28-Year-Old Woman Fatally Injured in Accident near Seco Canyon Road

 
SAUGUS, CA (May 16, 2018) – A woman was killed in a car accident on Bouquet Canyon Road, on Wednesday night. She was identified by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office as 28-year-old Shaunta Jackson of Canyon Country.
 
According to reports, Jackson was sideswiped by a black Honda Pilot as she was driving her black Volkswagen Jetta south on Bouquet Canyon Road, near Seco Canyon Road. The crash took place around 9:50 PM, as a car backed out of a residential driveway.
 
Investigators stated that Jackson lost control of her vehicle and struck a fire hydrant and a utility pole before coming to a stop. She sustained injuries and was rushed to the Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries and pronounced dead.
 
The driver who struck Jackson’s car did not sustain significant injuries and was not arrested. Their identity was not immediately disclosed.
