Sharon Billingsley Struck and Killed by Pickup Truck on Northeast Highway 99 in Hazel Dell

60-Year-Old Woman Fatally Injured in Pedestrian Accident at 8200 Block of NE Hwy 99

 
HAZEL DELL, WA (March 16, 2018) – A 60-year-old woman was struck and killed by a pickup truck on the 8200 block of Northeast Highway 99, on a gloomy and rainy Friday evening.
 
Clark County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at the scene of the pedestrian accident around 9:34 PM. According to witnesses, the woman was crossing the five-lane road, when a southbound truck hit her. She was said to be walking about 200 feet away from a marked crosswalk.
 
The victim was identified as Sharon Billingsley. She sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
 
42-year-old Jeffrey Donaca of Vancouver, was driving the truck and remained at the scene of the crash. He cooperated with investigators, and is currently not facing charges, according to reports. No other information has been released to the public at this time.
