Shari Curtis Hurt in Leggett Collision
LEGGETT, CA (March 7, 2019) – A 64-year-old woman was injured in a rollover accident on Highway 101 on Wednesday, March 6.
According to a CHP report, just before midnight, Shari Curtis, of Yucaipa, was driving northbound on 101 when she crashed her 2008 Ford Mustang just north of the intersection with Highway 1.
During the collision, Curtis’ car crossed the northbound lane and went over the west side of the highway. Her vehicle crashed into a tree and then rolled over. This trapped Curtis in her car.
Members of the Laytonville Fire Department, Leggett Fire Rescue, and Piercy Fire helped with the extraction from the Ford and transported the driver up the steep embankment.
Authorities rushed Curtis to Howard Memorial Hospital by City Ambulance. She remains there undergoing treatment.
