2 People Hurt in Tonasket Auto Accident on Highway 97

 
TONASKET, WA (March 20, 2022) – Friday, Shannon Bailey and Adrian McClintock suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 97.
 
The incident happened just after midnight when 51-year-old Shannon M. Bailey drove a 1984 Olds Cutlass. She traveled with her 50-year-old male passenger, Adrian W. McClintock.
 
According to reports, a 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer traveling at a high rate of speed rear-ended Bailey’s car. Moreover, it happened on Highway 97, 5 miles north of Tonasket.
 
The crash totaled both the Cutlass and the Lancer.
 
Meanwhile, WSP spokesperson Trooper John Bryant said, “The unknown driver and passenger from the Lancer fled the scene on foot, and were seen getting into a gray Dodge pick up truck which fled the scene northbound.”
 
After the crash, responders took Shannon Bailey and Adrian McClintock to Mid-Valley Hospital. Then, a helicopter transported them to Sacred Heart Medical Center with serious injuries.
 
Bryant said, “This is a felony hit and run collision. If anyone has any information about the driver who was driving the Lancer, the passenger, or a gray Dodge pick up, northbound in that area at night, call 911 and get ahold of the state patrol. We need all the help we can get.”
