Motorcycle Crash Near Citrus Heights Kills Shanel Allyn Griffin
Sacramento, CA (June 24, 2020) – On Sunday, Shanel Allyn Griffin died in a motorcycle crash on I-80 near Citrus Heights.
The North Sacramento-area California Highway Patrol officials said the crash involved an unknown number of vehicles.
Griffin was riding a 2011 Kawasaki Ninja west on I-80, west of Greenback Lane around 12:23 a.m. when the accident occurred.
Rescuers rushed Griffin to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries, where she died shortly after.
Moreover, on Monday, the Coroner’s Office listed Griffin’s death as a hit-and-run crash.
CHP investigators have not determined the cause of the crash.
