Shae Lopez of Oxnard Dies in Wrong-Way Crash on US 101 [Ventura, CA]

Ventura, CA (March 7, 2022) – On Sunday, 33-year-old Shae Lopez of Oxnard and 23-year-old Javier Lopez of Camarillo died in a wrong-way crash on US 101.

It was before 2 a.m. when the collision happened on the freeway’s southbound lanes between Telephone Road and Victoria Avenue.

According to the investigators, Javier Lopez was driving a northbound Honda Civic on the southbound lane. 

As a result, he crashed with Shae Lopez driving an Acura RSX near Victoria Avenue.

Unfortunately, Shae and Javier lost their lives at the crash scene.

Moreover, the responding officers freed an unidentified 33-year-old Oxnard man from the Acura. They took the man to Ventura County Medical Center with major injuries.

The authorities are investigating this fatal collision.
