Severo Ramirez Arrested in DUI Crash on State Route 99 and Linwood Avenue [Turlock, CA]

Sharayah Sanders and Juvenile Injured in Turlock Accident on State Route 99 and Linwood Avenue

 
TURLOCK, CA (September 28, 2022) – Sunday afternoon, authorities arrested Severo Ramirez after a DUI crash on State Route 99 and Linwood Avenue.
 
The incident occurred at around 4:37 p.m. on northbound State Route 99, north of W Linwood Avenue.
 
When the authorities arrived, they found a Chevrolet pickup truck in a dirt field east of the freeway between the overpass and Esperanza Ct.
 
Reports revealed that four people occupied the vehicle. The occupants include the driver 33-year-old Severo Ramirez of Stockton, and 31-year-old front passenger Sharayah Sanders of Stockton. Also, a nine-year-old female of Stockton and a seven-year old female of Manteca sat in the back.

After the crash, Ramirez sustained minor injuries. Meanwhile, Sanders suffered major injuries, the nine-year-old suffered major injuries, and the seven-year-old suffered minor injuries.
 
Also, Ramirez refused hospitalization.
 
Then, responders transported Sanders and the seven-year-old via ground ambulance to a local hospital. Meanwhile, responders airlifted the nine-year-old to a regional children’s hospital.
 
During the investigation, officers determined that Ramirez was under the influence of alcohol. Ramirez traveled northbound on State Route 99 from Lander Avenue.
 
Then, his intoxicated state led him to lose control of his vehicle near the W Linwood Ave overpass.
 
As a result, the vehicle hit the center median barrier and crossed all lanes of traffic headed in a northeasterly direction. Afterward, his vehicle left the edge of the roadway, overturned, and came to final rest.
 
Furthermore, authorities arrested Severo Ramirez and booked him into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center. He’s currently facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 or greater causing injury. Officers also issued Ramirez an administrative driver’s license suspension order by the California Department of Motor Vehicles and impounded his vehicle.
