Several Trucks Involved in Collision on Thompson Street [Sumner, WA]

Injuries Sustained in Multi-Vehicle Crash near Traffic Avenue

SUMNER, WA (January 25, 2019) – Friday morning, a bus, semi truck, and box truck were involved in a collision on Thompson Street leaving several injured.

Officials reported the accident occurred just after 6:00 AM in the intersection of Traffic Avenue and Thompson Street near Highway 410. First responders stated that the box truck t-boned the semi truck. It’s unclear how the bus was involved in the crash at this time.

A total of eight people sustained minor injuries but no medics were necessary. Their medical status nor identity have been released.

Due to the impact of the collision, the intersection was closed for a period of time. Cleaning crews were called to pick up the spill of diesel fuel.

Drugs and alcohol were not considered factors in the crash following preliminary investigation.
