Injuries Sustained in Two Shafter Car Accident
SHAFTER, CA (April 22, 2019) – Several people suffered injuries in separate car collisions in the northbound lanes of Highway 99 on April 16.
According to CHP, the two collisions involved five vehicles, and one of them caught fire. Authorities received reports of the collisions just before 11:00 p.m., just south of Lerdo Highway.
CHP Sgt. Felipe Martinez said that DUI could cause a collision involving a passenger vehicle and a big rig. Reports revealed that a northbound passenger vehicle on Highway 99 struck the rear of a big rig.
As a result, the occupants of the passenger vehicle complained of pain and went to the hospital. However, the number of occupants is still unclear as of this time.
Meanwhile, the second collision that blocked the #1 and #2 lanes involved three vehicles. One of the people involved in this collision suffered injuries. Medics transported the person to a hospital.
