Injuries Sustained in San Diego Multi-Vehicle Accident on Pomerado Road
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 27, 2020) – Several people sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle accident on Pomerado Road on January 26.
Authorities arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of driving under the influence after his Smart car drove across the center divide and sideswiped an SUV in the Scripps Ranch neighborhood, leading to a three-vehicle injury collision.
The incident happened at 10:12 a.m. when the eastbound compact car traveled on the 10600 block Pomerado Road. The smart car then crossed into the eastbound lanes and struck a Land Rover driven by a 68-year-old woman, Officer Dino Delimitros of the San Diego Police Department revealed.
The impact caused the Land Rover to spin and cross the eastbound lanes. A 27-year-old woman with two juvenile passengers then broadsided a Honda HRV.
As a result, the Land Rover driver sustained a fractured pelvis, and the two other drivers and the passengers in the Honda suffered minor injuries.
