Traffic Delays and Injuries Caused by Beaumont Car Crash on 10 Freeway
BEAUMONT, CA (October 25, 2019) – Several people are hurt in a big rig crash on 10 Freeway on October 22.
The incident caused traffic delays and blocked several lanes. According to the CHP, the incident occurred around 8:00 p.m. on the westbound side of 10 freeway near Redlands Boulevard.
Preliminary reports revealed that the incident involved a big rig. The big rig overturned on its side and blocked the two rightmost lanes. Meanwhile, another vehicle involved in the crash went off the road, into a ditch.
Authorities dispatched an ambulance. However, the number of people injured or hurt is still unknown.
The incident led Caltrans to issue a sig alert which will last for a couple of hours. However, the authorities extended the sig alert several times.
As a result, there’s major traffic slow down. By 8:00 a.m., there’s still a delay of up to more than an hour into Redlands Boulevard from Beaumont.
By 10:00 a.m., the traffic started moving again.
